On October 29th, the councils of the Victoria Diocesan councils of the Catholic Women’s League on Vancouver Island met for their bi-annual League Development Day. In addition to conducting some business, the majority of the day focused on workshops and sharing. Laurel Phyall conducted an exercise on discernment, Christa Grillmair presented a workshop on the strategic plan and the members enjoyed a presentation by guest speaker, Sister Janet Bayron, RVM. Father Michael Tran celebrated Mass in the beautiful Holy Family Notre Dame and the ladies of the council in Port Alberni provided the ambiance for lively socializing during lunch.
