Using the League Development Fund
Despite the atmospheric river that hit the lower mainland on October 19, we had a nearly full turnout at Our Lady of Good Council parish for League Misconceptions, an engaging Q&A session that offered attendees a deeper understanding of the Catholic Women’s League purpose, goals and mission.
Barbara Renaud, a past president of the Vancouver Diocesan CWL and an active member of the Anti-Human Trafficking Committee, guided 45 participants through the session. While some might assume that joining the CWL requires you to be older, wealthy, or have sandwich-making skills, none of those are necessary (though they’re certainly welcome!).
Women from several parishes joined in, and many left inspired to organize similar informative events at their own churches. For CWL members, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share ideas, and collaborate on ways to enhance our service to our Catholic community.
